The shredders choice, these light gauge strings are easy to play, bend, and abuse while still being sturdy enough to handle drop D and other turnings.
Regular Slinky 10-46 Gauge
Used by Steve Vai, John Petrucci, and Eric Clapton, the heavier string gauge will provide a slightly meatier tone and less fret buzz, allowing for lower action. Not for weenies, the thicker strings do require more finger strength when bending as compared to Super Slinkys.
Skinny Top / Heavy Bottom 10-52 Gauge
